I purchased this item at Metrolina Antiques and Collectible show that transpires on the first weekend of each month. This item was partially filled with lamp oil of some type, and currently in use for demonstration purpose when I was attracted to it. I noticed that there was not any leakage nor any sign that any leakage had ever taken place. This lamp is very cute and all of the painted areas are in tact. The price that I paid for it, estimated to be 20 years or more ago, was $22.00. Other minatures being displayed were listed even higher. I fell in love with this item and purchased it without any research about the item. I just took the lady's word when she told me that she would not be making any money for the sale. She knew that I liked it very much. I questioned her about her other oil lamps and found her to be very accurate about the descriptions, as I do have a few very collectible oil lamps in my home. I have priced this one at $35.00.
