Original 1872-1885 " Dictionnaire De Medecine Et Dd Chirurgie" Paris: Librairie J.B. Bailliere et Fils. In 38 volumes of a 40 volume set. Lacking Vol. 39 and Vol. 40. Hardcover. 1/2 red leather and marbled boards. Five raised bands to the spine with gilt titles and decorative compartments. Marbled endpapers. IIlustrations in the text. Approx. 800-900 pages in each volume. Illustrations in the text. 6 1/4 x 9 3/8" tall. Vol.'s 1-25 have one design on the binding, Vol.'s 26-38 have another design. A large, heavy set.

 

This set is in Very Good condition!! The boards are clean and tight. There is light wear and rubbing to the corners and spine ends. Vol. #6 has damage to the boards, the spine is ok. The binding and hinges are solid and tight. The pages are clean and unmarked. There is no writing or markings, no torn or missing pages, no foxing. An excellent addition to a library or collection.
