1929 Antique Philco Highboy Vintage Tube Radio This radio is a Philco radio made in 1929. It has a twelve inch speaker, and is rated at 105 watts. It still works. Plug it in, let it warm up and you have a working antique radio. When it was made, only AM radio existed, of course. It's not in mint condition, but certain aspects are: tapestry covering the speaker is mint--I've never seen one better than this---open the two front doors, and it is a site to behold. The finish is not mint, butsome of it is still in great condition. I bought this in Chicago in 1965---I've moved it around the country, and put it in various storages since then. The top has some scratches, but it can be brought back pretty easily I think. This is old antique furniture, made back when they made it for real and made it to last.
