Because this is also a very unusual size for a rug of this type, it is conceivable that the rug may have been shortened to eliminate some damaged areas, or to make two rugs from one rug with awkward dimensions.

The field design is the typical Bijov knotted rug type, though not of the best, most traditional design type.

The top and bottom border designs and colors employed are distinctly different.

There is a noticable difference in the technique displayed between the fine weaving of the field and the rather coarser weaving of the top and bottom borders.

An example of a similar rug was seen in the literature, where it was noted to be a very unusal size. Both pieces have questionable border inconsistencies.
