Notes

Cottage industry from 23 villages by semi nomadic groups of Turkmen descent living on the old caravan route at the foot of the Cubuk Pass. This area in the Western Taurus Mountains lowlands and foothills, is called "Dosemealti," meaning "under the floor" in Turkish.
This sturdy older rug is a smart choice for floor use and an interesting example of a type.
An example of this design type is in the Textile Museum in D.C.
