Jade(Jadiete) is from Burma and this extremely thin ~ 1mm pair of intense emerald green Jadiete plaques was probably from a Qing Dynasty necklace. Jadiete only has a history of about 400 years in China, whereas Nephrite Jade has a history of ~8000 years.Anyway this pair was supposed to have been made into a pair of earrings for my better - half, but the jeweller that I approached finally declined because no insurer will insured it against damage whilst making it into earrings!!
Please note the following:
01.This pair of emerald green Jadiete plaques is~300 years old.
02.The extreme thinness (1.0mm) means that it was pared down without electrical tools.
03.The vibration from any electrically driven tools will probably shattered it. That is why no insurer will insured it at reasonable cost.
04.The plaques are incised decorated on both sides.
05.The intense translucent emerald green at such extreme thinness professes the excellent quality of the Jadiete. The thinner the Jadiete is, the more translucent it is, but the less intense is the emerald green colour.

One final note: Since I can't yet make it into a pair of earrings, ANY OFFER/BUYER TO TAKE IT OFF MY HANDS!!!
