This pen sketch was done on 3/6/74 in Tyler, TX for my grandmother by known artist Ancel Nunn on the back of some directions my grandmother had in her purse. From what I remember her telling me, she happened to see Nunn at a downtown restauraunt eating lunch. She dug around in her purse for something he could sign, and came up with the piece of paper that had her directions on it. She introduced herself and asked Mr. Nunn for his autograph. He obliged, and sketched what looks to be a barn or an old farmhouse, and signed his name underneath. Nunn was a native of the East Texas area, and his works have been exhibited several times at the Tyler Museum of Art. This hung in my grandparents den for 34 years until they both passed away.
