This is an Interesting Unframed Original Pencil Drawing of Well Known Australian Artist, "HARRY ROSENGRAVE" in Melbourne in 1952, by Australian Listed Artist JOHN TAYLOR. It is signed, lower right, and was drawn in 1952, in Melbourne. It is also inscribed on the reverse. It has come from a Folio of John Taylor's Art. It is better than the Photo shows.

ROSENGRAVE, Harry: (Born Vic, 1899, Died Melb, 1986). Painter and Graphic Artist. Studied NGV School 1941-48. George Bell School 1946-50. RMIT 1951-59. Participated in Joint Exhibitions with Fred Williams, and Ian Armstrong. His work suggests elements of Surrealism-Modernism Typical of 1950's Bell School Students. He won the Caltex Prize 1972.
It is in Good Condition, on Card, which has yellowed slightly. It has a small stain to the upper left. It measures, 7 inch by 8 inch, (17.8cm x 20.3cm). (Image size).
