Caulonia was destroyed by Dionysius I of Syracuse in 389 or 388 B.C. Although it was later rebuilt, it never again struck coinage.

This is the first Ancient coint that I purchased. I was captivated by it's primitive apearance and simple design. I have since seen other specimens that show more detail in the striking.
