An Important Multiple Dragons Brushwasher from the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty of China.This is a 10 lobed washer with images of an Imperial(5 claws) Dragon in the center ,each of the outer lobe and on the rim bottom center;altogether 12 Dragons.The orange peel and heaps & piles effects of the cobalt are quite noticeable especially in the larger center Dragons.From research,there are probably only about a dozen in existing collections.An Imperial Ware indeed!!!
