Jessie LeVon - a wonderful outsider artist.
Her original paintings reflect the disappearing scenes of the South that she knew as a child growing up on her grandmothers farm. Jessie is a profound master artist. In her art she captures her heritage and family's ways– a way of life from the early 1900's to the late 1970's that she has lived and experienced herself in her paintings.
These wonderful pieces of art are her legacy to her "youngins" and her "grand-youngins", "so they don't forget there roots and where they came." from says Jesse.
Jessie's first canvases as a child were made when her Grandmother boiled rabbit bones in water and dipped pieces of cloth in the mixture. Her paints were made from mud, berries, coffee grounds, flowers, roots, and herbs. If interested in purchasing this item, please contact us here
