Notes

In Han Dynasty Ceramics there are scenes of acrobatic, martial arts and dancing performances.Very few extant examples in Jade. This small Jade is one where the performer is doing a martial arts routine. Accurately portrayed and ancient evidence of  martial art in Old China .

Note:  The Martial Stance is the Horse Riding Stance, where the upper portion of legs is parallel to the ground and a right angle. This stance is very good for building strong legs and if properly executed, will also improved the lower tantien (energy center) tremendously. Of course, must be able to remain in this stance easily for half hour.
