Notes

This Jade depicts the rank and file infantry of the Han Dynasty, but probably of the miniority races. Please note that the territory that is the Han is larger than the preceding Zhou,Shang and Xia dynasties.

01. The Jade is dark greenish Nephrite.

02. The soldier seems to be wearing armour, similar to that being worned by those fierce warriors of the Toubei tribe of the Northern Wei.

03. There is a simple hole drilled at top of helmet.

04. Notice also the design at the back and the lower body armour design.

When started collecting Antique Jade, one of the main consideration was for the scholastic and anthropological value of the Jade, even though it is partly damaged. Visit the Friends of Jade website to explore Jade knowledge.
