Notes

The Han Dynasty occupies a larger territory than the preceding Dynasties  (Xia,Shang,Zhou) and thus the variety of minorities influences on the ARTS , Jade included are more. This Jade artefact with minorities influences is one of the more unusual Jade artefacts in collection, in at least three aspects:

01.SHAPE : An open U Tube shape where difficulty and complexity is more in hollowing out the U channel.

02.USAGE : Difficult to fathom but could have been a spear thrower  made of Jade. Then the owner would really have to be high class elite.

03.DESIGN : Divided into 2 sections. The top of a Lady with a Bi to represent Heaven and the lower a Lady with a Tall Cong to represent the Earth. There are also birds and animals designs on the sides.

Finally the Jade is of excellent quality and translucent.
