There are very few Jade Elephants attributed to the Han Dynasty and so this Jade Elephant though corroded through burial is an important Jade. Note the following:

01. The Jade is yellowish and translucent.

02. The eyes ,tusks and ears are formed by incised lines.

03. The body is patterned with typical clouds design  of the Han dynasty.

04. There is no hole drilled for attachment.

Though corroded, still an important Jade for evaluation.
