Notes

Modern Era use Rubber Stamps to seal our identity/authority.In Old China, the elite uses Jade Seals as symbols of their authority. This is one such Jade Seal from the Ming Dynasty.

Note the following:

01. There is a swirling Han style Dragon symbolising Authority(Luk) as top of seal.

02.The two Chinese characters at bottom is in Archaic Small Seal Script Forms of Fuk(Prosperity) and Sau(Longevity).

03.Thus, the seal conveys the auspicious 'Fuk Luk Sau' connotation of Prosperity Authority and Longevity, with the Dragon indirectly representing the Owner ;one of the Elite in a position of Authority. This Seal would probably have been a personal or family seal.

Here is an example of the Dragon as a Symbol/Emblem of Old China. Incidently, the seal would have been pressed onto dripped wax on the document to make the Impression.
