The Liangzhu Culture is deservedly famous for its technical expertise on the Jade artefact of its era and this semi-elliptical (Huang) pendant is an exemplary Jade from the Liangzhu.
01.The streamline structure of this Huang is very aerodynamically pleasing.
02.The surface convex up in the middle and the other side is flat.
03.There is the facial image in the middle and what seems to be a bird on either side.
04. A hole each is bored from both sides for attachment and probably not as a pendant as it is quite large (L25.0cm 9 7/8").
04. The Jade is a chicken bone white patina.
05.The reddish suffusion on the left could be from cinnabar or even blood from human sacrifices.
