Name: Onslaught
Faction: Decepticon
Manufacturer: Hasbro
Series: Transformers Universe Classic Series
Release Date: July 2008
Details (Description): If ONSLAUGHT enters into direct combat, it's only because something has gone wrong with his battle plan. He prefers to remain on the sidelines of a fight, directing the action and revising his tactics second by second. Nothing gives him joy as much as a well-executed ambush, or the swift, organized destruction of an AUTOBOT base. When he must get involved in a fight himself, he does so with cold fury, advancing meticulously across the battlefield with his fire focused on the most dangerous opponent. Every variable in a fight is taken into account in his mind, every possibility assessed, and every contingency planned for.
Bill (Hasbro's lead designer for 2008's new Universe line - 2005 Staff) chose ONSLAUGHT because he always loved his design and the two large signature barrels on the character’s back. The design team worked to retain that very characteristic silhouette in this new Ultra scale version of ONSLAUGHT. In choosing a vehicle mode, design went with a cool S.W.A.T. Urban assault vehicle to set it apart from the tanks in other TRANSFORMERS product lines. The vehicle choice and theme lent itself to the creation of a riot shield in robot mode. The final version does an excellent job recalling the G1 characters the design team grew up with. (From www.tfw2005.com/resources).

By the power of GraySkull, I have the power! Does that ring a bell? Well for those of you uninformed about this line, it comes from an animated cartoon called He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. The Mattel comic hero has been an inspiration and idol to many all over the world – kids of course! Toys are a great sense of entertainment and fun for children.
Toys give little toddlers that extra nudge to leap into their own private realm of fantasy. Kids take a lot of passion into playing with toys as they identify and aspire to be like the characters portrayed. Ever witnessed a 5 year old girls tea-party? Well, they do not actually prepare it, although its a piece of their imaginary world that exists. What about the 6 year old boy who gets his Batman and Joker action figures into a heated clash? Its quite a sight! Toys work as an immense source of entertainment and fun for children. Besides that, there is a lot that they learn as well.
Toys play pivotal roles in helping children discover their personalities, adapt to certain situations, learn the essence of relationships and how they work and explore hidden skills and talent. Children use toys as a yardstick by which they measure their own identity. They strive to resemble the toys they adore and gradually create their own distinctive characters. Toys can act as a real stress-buster. Surprised? Its a proven fact that children feel a sense of stress and disappointment as well. Toys are their ticket to a sheer entertainment planet of their own. That would explain why after a scolding, you would see kids running straight to their rooms to play with their toy cars or dolls.
Toys not only prove to be a product of leisure, but also an object of self-enhancement for kids.
