After aquiring this many years ago, I had no idea of its origin/manufacturer. When I displayed it at a phonograph show, a long time collector/expert told me it was a German company named Mamut. It's origin is the 1890's and it is quite a quality decorated machine. It is rather delicate as far as mechanical aspect goes. It would appear, that no one could duplicate the quality and strength of Victor Talking Machine Co.
