  • Looking for a great comics blog?

Brian Hughes combines his  "10,000+ comics' worth of wisdom" with personal insight and comedic undertones in his blog Again With The Comics. The "Prince of Jokers" is a family man with an extensive knowledge of both old and new comics. I have followed his blog since I began working at iTaggit and AWtC has become a highlight in the research portion of my daily activities. I hope you find his blog just as enjoyable and useful as I have! He is currently working on adding his comics collection to the iTaggit family, and they will be available for viewing soon.

  • Comic Book Revolution Grabs Your Attention

iTaggit comic fans, enthusiasts and critics,

Rokk's Comic Book Revolution is a great blog for honest, down-to-earth critiquing of the latest comic book releases. He collects and reads a wide variety of Marvel and DC comics and then sets them to a rating scale, grading them on Art and Story, as well as giving them an averaged "Overall" rating. Rokk also keeps an updated list of new releases and will occasionally veer off his normal review path to delve into comparing and contrasting topics such as Marvel and DC themselves. Rokk's page link is:

  • Fantastic Four Returns to the Big Screen

June 15th will likely bring about another summer box office hit in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Fantastic Four was the first superhero team created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby in 1961. Fantastic Four broke with the conventional superhero mentality of the time and formed a dysfunctional family whose members would bicker, eschew anonymity, and maintain a public celebrity status.

The first Fantastic Four movie in the series broke out onto the silver screen in 2005. Heroes Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Sue (Invisible Woman) and Johnny Storm (Human Torch) were played by Ioan Gruffudd, Michael Chiklis, Jessica Alba, and Chris Evans. Mad man Victor von Doom (Doctor Doom), played by Julian McMahon, will have villainous company in this sequel in Norrin Radd (Silver Surfer), whose motions will be captured by Doug Jones, and voice will be that of Laurence Fishburne. Also appearing will be Galactica, an entity that devours worlds. Hopefully our heroins can save the day and leave room for a third chapter in the future.

Other Marvel comics that have been made into movie series include Blade, X-men, The Hulk, Spider-Man, The Punisher, and Daredevil.
