Notes

From the Han Dynasty;a Jade of a side profile of a performer/dancer in a ceremonial or ritual dance.Note the following:

01.Though essentially a side profile, but is thick enough for face features in front.

02.The elaborate costume/dress with billowing sleeves and front and back pleats.

03.The hook-back on top of head could be part of hairstyle with straight pull back rather than a hat design.

04.From the facial and physical structure and poise;could be a male performer/dancer.

05.Raised cloud pattern design on part of coustume.

06. Very obvious old tool's marks at hole forming lower parts of legs. Good indication of antiquity.

Overall. an intriguing Jade from the  Han Dynasty of Old China.
