Another flat low relief carving from the late Shang Dynasty(Xiaotun period). Note the following:
01.This is of a standing goose with round eyes,big bill and long curved neck.
02. The design is of single incised line along the neck and double incised lines of feathers of the wings.
03. There is a small hole drilled at leg section for attachment.
04.The Jade is Nephrite and translucent.
There is a similar excavated goose from the Tomb of Lady Hao but larger H:8.8cm(3 1/2"). Details as follows:
