My mom rescued these identical dolls around the time of mine and my twin's birth in 1977. Apparently someone was trying to throw them out! These are the dolls that started me collecting mostly composition dolls about 15 years ago.
The picture actually looks better than the shape they are in. They need a dolly doctor! Both need to be restrung because the stringing inside their little bodies is lose in one and broken in the other, resulting in her arms not being attached.
I would like some more information on these dolls. I think they were made around the 1930''s- 1940's, but I could be wrong. There are no marks on the two dolls. Their diapers are original, I think, and they do not have any clothes to speak of other than that. Any information on them would be so fantastic!
I would love to get them fixed for my mom, but am wondering their value. Thank you!
