Tang Dynasty always is associated with the Double Humps Bactrian Camel so will feature one of these marvellous "Ships of the Desert" in this collection of gold related antiques.
Will not write much but the main reason to feature this Camel was that in its fabrication it used techniques that were not shown in the others so far such as :
filigree:the bending of thin wires to form patterns and designs.
granulation:droplets of gold granules filling up an area....a very ancient technique pioneered by the Sumerian around 3000 BC then the Etruscans ~1000 BC.
One of my favourite Gold Antiques.
