This wonderful porcelain plate set was created by artist Bill Purdon and released by the Danbury Mint to commerate the first pitch of the Cleveland Indians grand opening of Jacobs Field. In the background you can see the detail of the scoreboard as it was on that day.
This is a four plate set with it's own serial number painted on each plate and comes with a one piece frame that can be hung on the wall or used as a stand, when the retractable legs are pulled out, to place on a shelf or mantel.
All pieces are in mint condition with no chips or cracks in any piece.
Original packaging is no longer available.
