hi, i recieved this set from my grandma. it the set consists of a electric percolator, large cream and sugar and a small cream and sugar, and the serving tray. it has very ornate decorations on it. it is very tarnished can it be cleaned or would that reduce the value. also how can i tell if it's silver or silver plated. the identification pamphlet that is included doesn't state which it is.
