Vintage porcelain doll for crafters or parts
|
Vintage Victorian Porcelain Doll for Doll Crafters This sweet little Victorian missy was bought from an antique shop in Central Texas. Evidently she had been exposed to extremes of heat because her little vinyl shoes were sticky and her hair is frizzy. In an attempt to clean her smudgy face, the eye brows are now gone. Her eyes were designed as stationary—not blinking. After purchase the outfit she is wearing was hand laundered. Her head, forearms, hands, lower legs and feet are porcelain. If you are a doll crafter, these parts could be recycled into a beautiful doll. Her cloth body is intact but stained. She was enjoyed by my tiny granddaughter until a lovely American Girl doll replaced this doll. She will be shipped in sitting position to save on higher cost of large shipping boxes. She is about 15” tall. You will see by the pictures that she is a sweet replica of vintage Victorian dolls. - Her body could be cleaned with upholstery cleaner.
- Her face can be touched up with paint.
- Replace her blinking eyes and her hair.
- Get her some new shoes.
- Make a fresh new dress or starch this one.
- She is a great bargain for a Happy make-over!
I am a sentimental person and memorabilia are treasures. However, I am now at a point in life that it is time to Simplify. I freely give my contemporary clothing or housewares to three local charities, but parting with nostalgic items requires more of a connection to the recipient. I like knowing that the person winning my auctions wanted the item, even if it is to be sold in another store. If you are that person, I hope you enjoy my items for their nostalgic quality. I am an eBay seller, not to get rich off of you, but it is nice when someone affirms the value of an item with a winning bid. I try to price my items within current market trends. Please write me with your questions or comments--I want you to be happy with your purchase and return to my auctions. I hope that reading the descriptions reflects my sincere desire to inform you of every detail but also the historical tidbits that go with them. Thanks for viewing my items and bidding.
