This is a very rare 1868 copy of Lectures and stories.  A bit worn and age stained binding needs attention but still good for a item that is nearly 140years old.  Complete with 246 pages

George Roy was a grocer and author.

Having begun his working life as a joiner Roy became a retail grocer and later, with his brother, formed J & G Roy, wholesale grocers. Roy was also a popular orator and a prolific writer. His most popular work of fiction was Generalship: A Tale, published in 1858.
