Lovely plate in good condition for its age.  Has some paper discolouration but nothing that isn't consistent with its age.

This hand coloured bookplate is from “De plantis epitome utilissima” by Pietro Andrea Mattioli (Matthioli) 1581 Verona. 

Frame & glass is in good condition - we think that it may be made of treated worm affected recycled timber or someone has made holes deliberately to age it - either way it looks good.

Inspections and pickups are welcome at the Chippendale Vintage showroom between 10am and 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. The showroom is on the corner of Queen St and Regent St, Chippendale -  just a 500m walk up from Central Station. Please feel free to call (02) 8084 7330 for further enquiries.

All overseas mail is via insured Express Post International only. Insurance covers loss - not damage.

 

All care is taken in packing fragile goods, but buyers take full responsibility for any damage in transit. If you are concerned about damage in transit, we recommend you arrange a courier of your choice - or pick it up from Chippendale.

Winning bidder must contact us within 3 days of auction end.

Payment must be made within 7 days. 

All items sold are second hand, and therefore will have minor signs of wear. Minor imperfections consistent with age, i.e. minor scratches, dings etc. Any condition issue(s) that we believe detract from the item will be noted. Please do not buy if you are expecting an item to be in new condition. Please inspect the photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
