In 1981, I commissioned Joe Cocke (coke) to scribe my first scrimshaw onto a large tooth that I acquired while stationed with the Navy in Iceland in 1972.

This ship is closer in lines to a Yankee Clipper, than to a whaler. Note the two human figures on deck; one at the helm.

Tooth is 7.25-inches & 26.8-ounces.
