I don't have sensitive teeth, but this still is really helpful in my playing because it keeps you stable and when I played without one, sometimes my teeth would hurt from biting. Also I always had the nasty teeth indentations in my mouthpiece, so after I got the teeth cushions it helped me overall. I can't play without them!
I have played for years and went through the pains of trying to play sax with braces. Having your teeth moved every month and then putting a vibrating reed and mpc in your mouth is painful. These patches help eliminate those vibrations and help young players with braces play with less pain. I played with these patches then and still do. The patches come in black and clear and are different thicknesses, the clear being thinner, so choose carefully, based on the amount of biting you do and vibration elimination you need.
I have used this product for years to protect something more important than my mouthpiece - my teeth ! Great for folks with sensitive teeth - no more nerve jarring vibrations.
I have used these things for 15 years. I have extremely sensitive teeth and I won't play a horn without one. Virtually eliminates vibration. I strongly recommend them.
I bought these a few years ago. I remember before using them I had several problems. After playing for a while my teeth would start to hurt, and my sound was vibrating along with the mouthpiece. Upon buying these it helped to stop the problems, my teeth would no longer hurt. I don't recommend the clear ones though, it's as if you haven't put anything between the mouthpiece and your teeth. It barely does anything for you. Even though the black ones are plainly visible on any mouthpiece, it's a small price to pay for better results.
