At the end of the 1934 season my father, Babe Ruth, retired from the New York Yankees. At the same time the Goudey Gum Company was preparing a card to be included in their 1935 Premium Set. As a result of his retirement the card was never issued.
This is the first issue ever for what would have been my father's last card as a member of the New York Yankees.
