Clementine's Stuff RSS

Total Views: 749 Blog Rating:

I've inherited more stuff than you can imagine. Mostly my grandmothers dob 1895 and mothers 1925.  I've got WW2, crochet dollies, depression glass, hob-nail, currier and ives, records....there must be a 1000 records, grandma's dining room set from the 1940's that is in great condition and I could on and on.   How do you even begin? I am so over-whelmed by all of it. I don't just want to donate it or throw it out but with work, kids and so on when do you find the time? I thought I'd start small and with stuff I might know a little bit about, records. 45 records...I've found I know nothing and trying to find anything on this stuff is just time consuming.   Help. All advice is greatly appreciated.

Joann,

Hello, my name is Brad and I am one of the Community Managers here at iTaggit.  Sounds like you have your hands full with items you inherited from your mother/grandmother.  I have a few suggestions for you that will make having these items more valuable to you instead of donating or throwing them out.  This may take some time but you can work with it a little here and a little there.  My suggestion is that you take pictures of your items in your free time and load them to your computer (Don't have to do it all at once).  Once you finish loading them to your computer, load the items into iTaggit giving them the best description possible.  You can load them as single items or into a few different collections, however you like.  Now you have the capability of going into your item views and researching that specific item to find out more information.  We also have features where you can get your items valued and then sell your items through iTaggit.  (eBay, Craigslist, iTaggit users).  Also, you can blog about specific items so others can comment or make suggestions.  I know you are overwhelmed, so if you want to send me pictures through email, I will help you get set up so you don't spend too much time yourself.  I can go into more but it may be easier if you email me on what you would like to do (corporate@itaggit.com or my username *brad*)  and I would be glad to guide you through the process.   I really hope this helps.  Please get back to me whenever you get a chance.  Thanks for using iTaggit Joann!!!!
