SeeAuctions is becoming well known
for it's numismatic collectibles
Whether
you love or hate eBay, I think there's a huge misconception that it's
the only good place to sell your antiques and collectibles.
For all it's troubles, YES, eBay is still a good place for many sellers, but there are viable alternatives.
For
years, most of these eBay alternatives had pretty sparse sales, and
when things did sell on them, prices were low, this is not the case
anymore.
For antiques and collectibles especially, I'm seeing
more and more interesting listings on other sites, and sales are being
made.
Below is a slide show of recently sold items from SeeAuctions.com , with descriptions and details.
My
takeaway: If you're a dealer and you really think that eBay is a poor
place to sell right now, then you shoud absolutely be shopping there
for under-the-money bargains to sell on an alternative site and vice
versa.
When I was on the NH RT 10 auction circut back in the
early 1980s, there were 3 auction houses within a mile of each other.
Some people swore by one as the best, and others would say that same
auction house was the pits!
They all thrived because there was a
selection. Ownership has changed hands, but there are still 3-5
auctions a week on this same strip of RT.
