That’s a “spoon carved” Victorian picture frame w/ gold gilt inner
trim. It’s in average condition for an item like this. It’s almost an
Eastlake style and could be considered transitional, but it doesn’t
quite have the geometric design a true Eastlake frame would have. No
matter, it stands on it’s own and will enhance the value of a period
work of art.
