I believe this rule applies to just about all things sterling. The blackened oxidation is just an eyesore in the pics. Also when taking pictures of your post try to utilize contrasting colors to bring the shine out a little more. I probably shouldn't have used that color background now that I look at it closely. Should be a darker richer red or purple.
