Meet Your Community Manager

James Hi I'm James, your art community manager. I am new to the iTaggit team and have really enjoyed browsing through all of your collections.  There are some amazing pieces on display, and even more housed within private collections.  In this newsletter, I will be highlighting one user's collection, as well as one true work of art.
There is a stir in the art community as London-based Dali-Dealer,
Stan Lauryssens, claims in his new book Dali and I that 75% of Dali's paintings were not produced by the artist himself.  Lauryssens asserts that famous Spanish painter Salvador Dali actually had a team of assistants producing his work long after the artist had lost his creativity. One can only speculate about how this revelation, if true, will affect the value of Dali's works.  Read more at Artdaily.org.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions, suggestions, comments or if you would like to be featured in next month's newsletter!

The featured collection for this month is a rare collection of photographs from user tressie. Her collection consists of original photographs taken and signed by "Olive Thomas." Olive Thomas was an American silent film actress. She was a Ziegfeld girl and said to be the original flapper. She is possibly best remembered for her marriage to Jack Pickford and her untimely death at the age of 26 in the early 1920s.  Photos like these can range in value from $1,000 or more!
