 A People's History of the United StatesA People's History of the United States, by Howard Zinn, can be found in btodd12's book collection.
Spanning from Columbus' arrival to the Clinton Administration, Zinn
tells the history of the U.S. through the often unheard voices of the
oppressed. Eric Foner of the New York Times Book Review says, "Those
accustomed to the texts of an earlier generation, in which the rise of
American democracy and the growth of national power were the embodiment
of progress, may be startled by Professor Zinn's narrative." This
sounds like a must-read for anyone interested in the history and
cultures of the United States' past!
