Here are some tips for those of you interested in starting a vinyl record collection

Decide what records you want to collect - Most records from the 80s and earlier are available on vinyl, but did you know many albums are still pressed in vinyl today? You might be surprised what's available!

Decide where you're going to shop - Vinyl records are available in many places. Try eBay's record section, local resale shops and local record stores. If you still can't find what you're looking for, try looking at the band's and band's record label's websites.

If you're buying a used record, make sure it isn't badly scratched or warped. Some of the better record stores will let you sample a record before you buy. It might be wise to invest in a portable record player to try your records at stores that do not provide sampling turntables.
