Rachael,

Take a look at the information below and see if that helps in researching and finding the value of your shotgun.  Make sure that you have your  shotgun as well as other items uploaded into iTaggit. Thanks for using iTaggit!

There are several ways that iTaggit can help you research and find the value of your items.

Option 1 – Research

Step 1 – In your item view, click on the Research button. Here you can select various factors to help you search your item, based on your item’s fields.

Step 2 – Make sure you are as specific as possible when entering the information about your item. This will increase the quality of your search results.

Option 2 – Community Feedback

Step 1 – Make your items viewable in either the Community Collection or in a Public Collection of your own. This allows other users to leave comments on your items or send you private messages.

Step 2 – Write a blog about your item so other users can see and give their input. Make sure to link to your item in the blog message.

Option 3 - Ways to Appraise your Items

1) Put your items in What's My Item Worth? and someone will give you an estimate.

Step 1 - In item view, check the box of the item you want appraised.

Step 2 - Click on item action above the item profile.

Step 3 - Click on Add to a Collection.  What's My Item Worth? will be an option for you to click.

2) Appraise Item Option

Step 1 - Click on All My Items

Step 2 - Click on a specific item and you will then have the option of getting that item appraised.

Step 3 - To do this click on Item Actions and scroll down to Appraise this Item.

Option 4 – Affiliate Partnerships

Partner #1 – iTaggit has partnered with an online appraisal service company called “What’s it Worth to You?” You can link to it within iTaggit, or by clicking the link: http://www.wiw2u.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=users.Registration&act=form&eval_code=976338

Partner #2 – iTaggit has also partnered with an online research tool called

“Price Miner.” Keep in mind you will need to subscribe to this. You can link to them within iTaggit, or by clicking the link:

http://www.priceminer.com/affiliate/affiliate.jsp?affiliateId=8749&bannerId=6

Once you find the value of your item, keep track of it by saving your search results as a link or document, and entering it’s monetary worth in the value box.
