So what do you do when you have a gun slinger on your left and a hostile E.T. on your right? Sit back, relax, and enjoy the special effects of this monster hit to come!

It was recently announced that DreamWorks and Universal Pictures have put together a dynamic team to turn the graphic novel "Cowboys & Aliens" into a live action feature film. Imagine partners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer will produce the film along side Platinum Studios chairman-CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci. Rosenberg headed Malibu Comics when "Men in Black" was adapted from a graphic novel into a hit film. He also created the concept for "Cowboys & Aliens", and published the graphic novel in 2006. Kurtzman and Orci most recently scripted the 2007 summer hit "Transformers." The studios have teamed together to create past successes such as "Gladiator" and "A Beautiful Mind."

A little background into the comic: "Cowboys & Aliens" is a fusion of the Western and Sci-fi genres. The graphic novel is set in 1800's Arizona amidst a battle between cowboys and Apaches. The skirmish is interrupted by the crash landing of a space ship carrying hostile aliens. The alien commander plans to conquer the Old West and enslave all those who survive, but the cowboys and Native Americans join forces to fight off their alien invaders and ensure their freedom.
