Meet Your Sports Community Manager

Sports Category ManagerHi, I'm Casey Gannon. August has been a controversial month in baseball and our sports community has skyrocketed, we have over 200 sports collectors on our site now! We've seen a lot of Barry Bonds memorabilia on our site recently. I've seen speculation, but I'd really like to know if anyone has found out what Barry Bond's home run ball is worth yet? I'd like to see that posted in iTaggit! Send me message when you find out.

August's featured item Barry BondsThis is user tcrabel's Barry Bonds baseball card. Check out more on this card here. Anyone know the value?

Tips on protecting your Baseball Cards
Since baseball cards seem to be the theme of this month, I'll leave you with a few tips on protecting the value of your cards.

1. Organize your cards! What if one of your rookie cards goes from $.25 to $50 and you can't find your card. Group your cards in an easy way for you to find them- i.e. by team, manufacturer, etc.

2.Store your cards in a cool, dry place. Humidity and temperature extremes are the enemies of your cards.

3. DO NOT bend the corners of the cards when placing them in their sleeves. This happens all the time, the point of putting them in the sleeve is to preserve the value. Be sure your fingerprints aren't left on the card either!
